We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Wafer Cleanroom Operator to join our team. This role involves inspecting silicon wafers within a controlled cleanroom environment to ensure they meet our stringent quality standards.

NOTE: This position is initially offered on a 3-month contract to hire basis, arrangement provides an opportunity for both the candidate and Pure Wafer to assess mutual fit. Successful candidates may be considered for conversion to a permanent employee status following the completion of the contract period. Employment may be concluded at any time during this period based on performance.

This role is hiring for a swing shift operator from 3p - 11:30p. Training will be held during the day shift from 8a-4:30p for 2-4 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Record, manage, and report processing, production, and inspection data
• Load data into computer systems accurately and efficiently
• Create and apply packaging labels for finished wafers
• Perform wafer processing tasks, including etching and grinding
• Determine appropriate etching duration based on material thickness
• Operate and monitor production equipment, including furnaces and carbide furnaces
• Load and unload wafers from chambers and furnaces
• Initiate processing cycles using valves, switches, or control panels
• Clean wafers using specialized equipment and chemical baths
• Inspect wafers for surface defects using UV light and visual tools
• Count, sort, and inspect wafers to ensure quality standards are met
• Maintain the operations of cleanroom equipment, including scrubbers
• Perform other duties as assigned

Experience

• No experience required, on the job training provided

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
• Must be comfortable wearing a cleanroom suit
• Highly organized, proactive, and a self-starter with a strong drive for achieving optimal results
• Fluent in Vietnamese and English, with strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with the team
• Capable of managing multiple assignments simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Adherence to established policies and procedures, with a strong commitment to compliance with regulatory requirements
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, recommend solutions, and implement effective action
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage concurrent responsibilities
• Collaborative team player with the ability to work well with others
• Positive, “can-do” attitude with a proactive, questioning mindset
• Ability to distinguish between different colors and inspect small defects with attention to detail

Job Types: Full-time, Temp-to-hire, Contract

Pay: $19.50 per hour
