What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Specialist position at Purem Novi Inc?
Objective of the Position: This position installs, troubleshoots, maintains and supports local IT servers and systems for the site assigned. Also assist ends users at the site assigned. Designs IT solutions for improvements and new company IT needs.
Essential Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that
- Support end users with day-to-day problems (45%) at site assigned, requires travel by car or plane to EETAM location based on assignment.
- Advanced understanding of Windows 10 and Windows server.
- Support plant IT during escalations.
- Strong documentation and troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of Active Directory.
- Manage tickets, projects, and monitor/respond to NMS alerts.
- Manage IT inventory; Prepare and backfill IT assets through life cycle.
- Support infrastructure operations and processes.
- Strong understanding of core networking principles.
- Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
- Respond to queries either in person (50%) or over the phone (50%). Highly Interactive role that required face-to-face interactions with end users and IT team on a daily basis.
- Issuing new user security access to certain network drives.
- Provides company cell phones assistance (including blackberry and IPhone) to end users
- Create purchase requisitions for equipment/service needs & follow up with supplier and PO to ensure it is moving forward as planned.
- Determine priority of open issues including End User requests.
- Deciding which vendor/service provider to use for purchasing equipment/services.
- Design redundant network solutions for new implementations.
- Main IT support for servers and systems issues at assigned site.
- Resolving issue with servers/systems/end users at site assigned.
- Develop and implement solutions for improving new and existing systems
- On Call (nights & weekends) as needed.
- Support/maintain SCCM Software/OS Development system.
Secondary Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that
- Conduct all business related activities for, and on the behalf of, Eberspaecher within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.
- Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.
- Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and follows all ENA polices related to TS16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirement Profile:
Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience:
- Associates or bachelor’s degree
- Minimum two years’ experience of technical support in IT function
- Ability to travel domestically by car or plane.
- Previous Server Administration and Desktop Support experience
- must have strong troubleshooting and support skills
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in SAP.
