Manager, Continuous Improvement

Objective of the Position

Ensure existing processes maintain a high level of performance and adherence to standard processes for data collection, documentation, and reporting while continuously reviewing and refining those processes at the company plants for automotive exhaust systems and metal tube bending.

Accountabilities

The position incumbent ensures, that

• Manage continuous improvement projects and lead cross-functional project teams formed to implement change and drive continuous improvement.
• Perform gap analysis to identify deficiencies in business processes and programs, and recommend adjustments to programs and processes.
• Plan budget and manage costs and professional level personnel related to operational excellence initiatives.
• Build project plans to continuous improvement projects, including resources, timeline, and critical paths.
• Manage diverse continuous improvement strategies for transactional and manufacturing operations.
• Conduct plant capacity and feasibility studies for layout scenarios, benchmarking, process involvement, material handling, resource utilization, and production systems.
• Provide support to and compliance with all local and corporate Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and HSE related requirements.
• Perform Cycle Time Reduction, Waste Elimination, and Throughput Improvement.
• Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and follow all corporate polices related to TSl6949 and ISO 14001 while looking for ways to improve and promote quality.

Requirement Profile

Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience:

• Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, Quality Management, or foreign equivalent
• 3 years of experience in the job offered or substantially similar position performing the duties listed above.

Technical Expertise:

• Time & Motion studies, Line balancing, Capacity planning, Labor utilization, Production planning and control and other industrial engineering principles.
• Experience in creating process flows, work standards and inventory management systems.
• Layout planning and design experience is helpful.
