Objective of the Position : Manage all new product launch activities as Operations Lead ensuring proper planning and execution of all activities required for flawless launch of new product and processes in EETAM locations.

Essential Accountabilities : The position incumbent ensures, that

  • Responsible for overall industrialization of new model programs.
  • Lead Launch Readiness Reviews (LRR) and ensure compliance to process of all functional areas; summarize status to Executive Management.
  • Manage and co-ordinate a cross-functional program team (Program Management, Purchasing, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Product & Manufacturing; engineering) on-site at manufacturing plant.
  • Ensure smooth program transfer from Development to Production Plant.
  • Develop strong relationships and manage customer expectations as the lead EETAM representative.
  • Manage pre-production and initial production build events.
  • Lead and direct New Model manufacturing engineers as applicable.

Secondary Accountabilities : The position incumbent ensures, that

  • Conduct all business related activities for, and on the behalf of, Eberspaecher within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.
  • Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.
  • Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and follows all EETAM polices related to TS16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Requirement Profile :

    Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years Automotive Manufacturing experience
  • Minimum five years’ experience with new model launches
  • Working knowledge of APQP systems and processes
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in SAP.
  • Technical Expertise :

  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts and operations, including calculations, percentages, etc.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos, and write correspondence.
  • Analytical- Synthesize complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs work flows and procedures .
  • Business Acumen- Understands business implications of decisions.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement of products for manufacturability.
  • Knowledge of engineering fundaments, mechanical systems, automotive systems, and exhaust systems.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations.
  • Project Management- Develops project plans; Coordinates projects; Communicates changes and progress; Completes projects on time and budget; Manages project team activities.
  • Strives to continuously improve expertise, knowledge and skills.

  • This position involves working indoors around mechanical and hazards, fumes, irritants, with exposure to cold, heat and high noise levels under adverse conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
