What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sanitation Supervisor position at Pures Food Specialties LLC?
Manages the overall sanitation of food contact areas and manufacturing equipment to ensure compliance with required standards for cleanliness. Assures food quality and safety while achieving established goals and objectives.
- Manages and leads shift activities through planning and communication with associates to ensure all sanitation objectives area accomplished in a timely, cost-effective, and safe manner.
- Monitors the storage and use of cleaning chemicals within the warehouse to prevent unauthorized access or use.
- Monitors the usage of all cleaning/sanitizing chemicals and agents to ensure compliance with safety requirements.
- Maintains a close working relationship with QA and responds to deviations from standards immediately.
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and company policies.
- Provides training, direction, development, evaluation, coaching and leadership to associates.
- Collaborate with managers and supervisors to ensure a smooth shift start-up.
- Maintains company standards for cleanliness, housekeeping, and safety.
- Ensures compliance with quality, food safety and HACCP support programs.
- Assures conformity to all company, customers, and government standards.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Preferred Skills
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a food-related industry.
- Working knowledge of sanitation equipment, methods, and chemicals.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Work Environment & Physical demands
- This position works in a warehouse facility.
- Frequently carry or lift 50 pounds or more.
- Walk long distances and move between work sites.
- Stand for long periods of time.
Travel Required
- This position may require traveling to support operations at multiple Bakehouses in the surrounding Chicago suburbs.
- No overnight travel is required.
