Production Supervisor for Commercial Laundry

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Production Supervisor for our multi- tunnel industrial laundry facility in Miami with the capacity to produce over 200K lbs. of linen daily. The ideal candidate must be able to motivate employees to meet production standards, enforce policies and procedures, prepare work schedules, maintain hotel inventories, plus oversee that our safety policies are adhered to. This position requires either Eng/Spa or Eng/Creole in order to communicate with our employees. May also be responsible for the washing, making corrections and improvements to systems when necessary, suggest and develop ways to train their team members to improve efficiency and productivity, must possess superior leadership skills and may periodically assist in performance reviews and/or disciplinary recommendations. May be required to work weekends. Supervisors for 2nd shift operation starting at 4:00pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Makes sure that exact amount of weight is entered into The Linen Web, as well confirm that the corresponding amount of linen exits our production facility. 
• Provides support to Production Manager
• Keeps team motivated and engaged
• Keeps work area clean at all times (housekeeping/safety) 
• Provides daily production goals to team
• Communicates any deficiencies with production supervisors in Lbs.  
• Identifies any problems with the scale or property linen  
• Audits bins before weighing for correct hotel 
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested and/or assigned by immediate supervisor or management group. 

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school or equivalent 
• Detail oriented, good communication skills and able to perform simple math 
• Follow all company procedures corresponding to the weigh in/out 
• Effective written and verbal communication skills  
• Basic computer skills 

Physical / Mental Requirements:

• May be at an industrial setting with hot/cold environment and distracting noise levels.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 

Safety:
