General Purpose:
The HR Clerk provides excellent customer service to staff members while executing the daily operations and expectations of the HR office.
This is a seasonal position from October 2024 to April 2025. Dates are subject to change based on the availability of the applicant and needs of the business. Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain confidentiality of personal and sensitive information.
- Provide exceptional customer service to all walk-ins, phone calls, and emails in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ensure department filing is accurate, well-organized, and complete.
- Assist with managing employee documents and training materials.
- Assist with the management of the HR Gmail account.
- Assist with seasonal and year-round employee orientations.
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes and procedures.
- Communicate effectively across all levels of staff to ensure consistent distribution of information; encourage the Employee/Manager Resource Site to staff.
- Assist with employee events
- Communicate and educate staff on employee perks and discount programs.
- Assist with managing employee uniforms, including laundry, inventory, and distribution.
- Perform data entry within the Paycom HRIS system.
- Assist with processing Carpool logs and tracking Carpool Food credits.
- Respond to unemployment claims and verification of employment inquiries.
- Assist with all Recruitment Efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Proficient with the following products: google, internet, excel, word, basic website design, email, etc.

Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED required. Previous clerical/basic word processing experience required. 1 years of HR experience, preferably in the ski industry (seasonal and year round workforce).
Material and Equipment Directly Used:
Computer, simple office equipment, uniforms, washer and dryer, vacuum cleaner, and household cleaning agents.
Working Environment/Physical Activities:
85% of the work day is spent indoors, in a normal office environment and 15% of the work day is spent outdoors. 50% of the workday is spent sitting, 30% standing and 20% walking.
Occasionally lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 75 pounds. Constantly handling objects. Constantly engaging in normal conversation, in person, email and over the phone. Frequently reaching, balancing, stooping, use of near and far acuity, color and field of vision. Occasionally climbing, balancing, and stooping. Potential exposure to mechanical and electrical hazards. This is a non-skiing position. Must be able to work weekends and holidays during the ski season.
