Duties And Responsibilities
- Management of fixed assets.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including processing invoices, payment authorization, and payment execution.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Matching invoices to proper purchase orders and coding invoices to general ledger accounts.
- Process and schedule vendor payments, resolving any invoice discrepancies with vendors.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues.
- Conduct regular audits of financial data to identify and correct discrepancies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and procedures to ensure financial integrity and compliance.
- Provide support during external audits by gathering and organizing financial information and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial planning and analysis initiatives.
- Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to management for strategic decision-making.
- Monitor and analyze cash flow and liquidity to ensure efficient use of company resources.
- Coordinate and facilitate the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Prepare and review financial forecasts and variance analysis to assess performance against budget and forecasted targets.
- Stay up-to-date on accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and recommend process improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Prior experience with percentage of completion.
- Prior experience with fixed assets is a plus.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
