This is an exciting opportunity for a mid-level Commercial Water Filtration Technician to join our growing team. As a technician, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch installation, maintenance, and repair services for commercial water filtration systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Install water filtration systems, ensuring all components are properly set up and functioning.
  • Maintain and service existing filtration units, including routine cleaning, part replacement, and system checks.
  • Troubleshoot issues and repair malfunctioning systems, minimizing downtime for clients.
  • Educate clients on the proper use and maintenance of their water filtration systems.
  • Provide emergency services when systems break down, ensuring swift resolution to avoid disruption.
  • Work closely with the team to complete projects and share knowledge to enhance team performance.
  • Document and track maintenance and service activities, ensuring accurate records for each client.

Technical Knowledge & Expertise

  • Deep understanding of RO systems, including their design, components (membranes, pumps, pre-filters, post-filters), and how they function.
  • Knowledge of different water treatment methods, such as UV disinfection, carbon filtration, deionization, and softening systems.
  • Ability to design, install, and upgrade commercial water filtration systems according to client specifications.
  • Basic understanding of the electrical components in RO systems (e.g., wiring, power supplies, control systems, sensors) for troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Skills in pipe installation, maintenance, and leak detection in both residential and commercial setups.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues like low pressure, poor water quality, membrane scaling, clogging, or pump failure.
  • To analyze system data (e.g., water flow rates, TDS levels) and make adjustments or replacements as needed to ensure optimal performance.
  • Proficiency with tools used for testing and diagnosing water filtration systems, including pressure gauges, conductivity meters, and flow meters.
  • Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures to extend the lifespan of systems and avoid downtime (e.g., membrane cleaning, filter replacement schedules).
  • Ability to quickly repair or replace faulty parts on-site (membranes, pumps, valves, etc.) and ensure systems are back online as quickly as possible.
  • Proficient in testing water quality parameters, such as pH, TDS (Total Dissolved Solids), chlorine levels, and hardness, using various instruments.
  • Basic understanding of the chemistry of water treatment, including the role of chemicals in coagulation, sedimentation, and filtration.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to clients in simple terms and offer solutions tailored to their needs.
  • Ability to calmly troubleshoot systems remotely over the phone or via video calls if required.
  • Writing clear, detailed service reports, maintenance logs, and documentation of repairs or upgrades for the client and company records.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols, including handling hazardous chemicals and dealing with high-pressure systems safely.
  • Familiarity with electrical safety standards and precautions when working with electrical components of filtration systems.

Job Qualifications

  • 4-6 years’ experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial water filtration systems (e.g., reverse osmosis, UV filtration, softeners).
  • Mechanical and Electrical Knowledge (understanding of pumps, valves, and control systems)
  • Plumbing Experience (basic knowledge of piping, fittings, and water pressure systems)
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities, with the capacity to solve complex system issues.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
  • Technical or Vocational Training in plumbing, water treatment, or HVAC (preferred)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple service requests simultaneously.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Physical stamina to perform hands-on work and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to travel and flexibility with varying operational tempo. Limited weekend work may be required from time to time.

Salary: $73,000-83,000 based on experience

Job Type: Full Time, 8hrs / Monday – Friday / Weekend Rotation

Probation Period: Yes (6 months)

Employment is at will, and this announcement does not create a contract of employment or employment for a specified term. As a condition of employment, you are required to sign an Employment Agreement prior to beginning employment and complete a six (6) month probation period.
