Job Purpose

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our finance team. In this role, you will manage the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, assist with month-end close activities, conduct variance analysis, and help build financial models and reports. This is a great opportunity to develop your financial analysis skills while contributing to key processes that drive business decisions.

Pay Range: $59,147 - $73,933

Responsibilities

Support the S&OP Process: 

• Assist in the preparation and coordination of the S&OP process, ensuring alignment between sales forecasts, operational plans, and financial goals. 
• Prepare and maintain financial data related to sales and operations, providing insights to help improve forecast accuracy. 

Month-End Close Support: 

• Assist with the month-end close process by preparing financial reports and assisting with account reconciliations. 
• Help analyze financial data, ensuring that all transactions are properly recorded and aligned with budgeted figures. 

Variance Analysis: 

• Perform basic variance analysis, comparing actual results to forecasts or budgets and providing clear explanations for discrepancies. 
• Work with the finance team to identify the reasons behind variances and recommend improvements where necessary. 

Financial Modeling and Reporting: 

• Assist in the creation of financial models to support forecasting and budgeting activities. 
• Generate regular reports, ensuring accurate and timely delivery to stakeholders. 
• Help maintain and improve existing financial reporting templates and dashboards. 

Collaboration with Teams: 

• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and operations, to gather necessary data and ensure alignment between financial plans and business operations. 
• Help provide relevant financial information and support to other team members during key business meetings. 

Process Improvement: 

• Identify areas for improvement in financial reporting and S&OP processes, assisting with the implementation of more efficient practices. 

Specific Measures of Success

1. Within 6 months, successful leadership of the S&OP process, ensuring alignment between sales forecasts, inventory management, and production planning. 
2. Within 9 months, accurate and timely completion of month-end close activities supporting a 5 day close. 
3. Within 30 days, development and maintenance of existing financial models. 

Requirements

Experience/Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 
• 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis or a related role, with exposure to S&OP, forecasting, and financial reporting preferred. 
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advance formulas [xlookup, sumifs, etc.], data analysis). 
• Basic understanding of financial concepts, such as budgeting, variance analysis, and forecasting. 
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Business Central) or financial reporting software a plus. 
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets. 
• Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues in different departments. 
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment.
