Essential Job Accountabilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Provide regional leadership for the Project Management team, ensuring alignment with PURIS' goals and customer expectations.
- Implement best practices for project planning, execution, and close-out within the assigned region.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support regional strategic initiatives to strengthen PURIS' market leadership and operational efficiency.
- Supervise a portfolio of regional construction projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and performance metrics, addressing risks proactively to ensure successful outcomes.
- Assist Project Managers with resolving challenges related to scheduling, budgets, technical issues, or customer interactions.
- Review and approve project forecasts, change orders, and compliance with contract requirements.
- Mentor and develop Project Managers, providing guidance, training, and career development opportunities.
- Lead recruitment efforts to ensure the region has the talent necessary to deliver on project commitments.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among regional teams, including Construction Managers and Area Directors.
- Conduct regular project reviews to evaluate financial performance, risk management, and adherence to contractual obligations.
- Drive regional profitability by identifying opportunities for efficiency and margin improvement.
- Oversee compliance with PURIS’ safety standards and ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements.
- Provide regional updates to senior leadership, highlighting key accomplishments and challenges.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, business, or a related field.
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
- 7 years of project management experience within the construction or infrastructure industry, including 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, project planning, and risk management practices.
- Financial acumen with experience in forecasting, budgeting, and profitability analysis.
- Proficiency in project management software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster collaboration across teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
