Job Summary:
The Supplier Manager oversees the supply chain of goods and services and are responsible for making sure that quality and delivery standards are met while ensuring there is proper communication between all parties involved. This position reports to the Director of Purchasing and Inventory Control and is located in one of our Maine locations (Falmouth, Pittsfield or Guilford).
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure the approved supplier list is up to date for packaging, raw material, and service suppliers.
- Verify Vendor’s ISO Certificates, Quality Documents, technical data sheets and compile data.
- Responsible for supplier questionnaires, quality agreements, classification and performance monitoring, vendor complaints and change notifications.
- Responsible for the execution of vendor audits.
- Responsible for the audit planning, execution, preparation of audit reports and closure of audit.
- Manages the vendor non-conformance and complaint handling process, follow-up, and resolution.
- Lead the vendor change notification process.
Key Skills Required:
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO 13485 & 21CFR820.50 Purchasing Controls.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other programs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar field or equivalent work experience.
- 2 years working experience in procurement.
- Exposure to manufacturing and quality environment.
- 2 years auditing experience.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
