Description
The Kitchen Process Worker will be responsible for the cooking procedures to successfully create consistent, safe, quality products. The Kitchen Production Worker will be performing strenuous work. The ideal candidate is responsible, respectful, and eager to learn and grow within the company.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Complete the sanitation of all production equipment and tools including workspace, utensils, containers, cookware, and appliances.
Maintain a clean and tidy workspace - ensuring state food safety regulations are always followed.
Follows proper health department rules & regulations, HACCP, sanitation, and safety procedures.
Maintains quality and quantity controls.
Operates equipment and kitchen appliances. Contacts management for repair service on equipment or kitchen maintenance.
Helps other Kitchen team members when needed.
Actively upholds company core values and is a team player.
QUALIFICATIONS
1 year of commercial kitchen / bakery back of house experience and / or cannabis processing experience.
Must pass a background check and obtain the proper licensing per state's cannabis regulations.
Must have or be willing to obtain a serve safe food handlers' card or obtain certification per state requirements.
Possess basic math skills to follow, scale and understand recipes.
Ability to multitask, be a fast learner, and can meet a fast-paced, high volume production demand.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Able to stand / sit for up to 10 hours and walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, twist, lift and climb.
Able to frequently reach with hands and arms; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Able to frequently lift- up to 50 lbs.
Able to load and unload cool and hot pans - up to above shoulder height and down to below knee.
Exposure to high temperatures for long periods of time consistent with a production kitchen.
Exposure to high volume, consistent and periodical loud noises.
Exposure to peanuts, dairy, and other food allergens.
Dress code strictly enforced. Loose fitting clothes, artificial nails, and jewelry are NOT permitted.
