LEAD TECHNICIAN
Job Descriptions:
Position: Lead Technician
Reports to: General Manager
Job Overview:
The primary job of the Lead Technician is to manage disaster response and/or crisis management activities for water mitigation, fire restoration, mold remediation, and bio- hazard clean-up. They meet with customers and walk them through the process, assess the scope of work as well as supervise, develop, and mentor other technicians working on the job.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of field experience or;
- IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) Certification REQUIRED and;
- IICRC Fire & Smoke Restoration Certification (FSRT) or;
- IICRC Applied Structural Drying (ASD).
Essential Job Functions:
The Lead Technician is responsible for:
1. Communicating the process to the customer and provide daily updates to insurance partners, and CRM systems.
2. Assess and evaluate job severity and extent of damages.
3. Understand and promote the operational systems used by the company:
a. Company CRM
b. Xactimate
c. MICA
4. Be able to train new employees on the specific responsibilities for Technicians.
5. Work in the field alongside Technicians: a. Setup and teardown necessary equipment, b. Always maintain company standards of excellence on all job sites, c. Knowledge and operation of work tools
6. Always maintain a professional, positive attitude and appearance: a. Must be willing to wear company provided uniforms.
7. Develop a team culture with all field operations staff and other members of the organization.
8. Report to work when scheduled and when necessary in emergency situations.
Specific Responsibilities:
The Lead Technician is responsible for:
1. Adherence to all OSHA and company safety procedures and standards.
2. Understanding and adherence to the following restoration procedures: a. Water Damage Restoration Procedures, b. Mold Remediation Equipment and Procedures, c. Fire and Smoke Cleaning Tools and Procedures, d. Carpet Cleaning Equipment and Procedures
3. Always Demonstrating a “can-do” attitude as a team player and completing all necessary paperwork when providing customer service.
4. Always Maintaining all equipment and vehicles at a clean and serviceable level.
5. Availability 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to complete emergency jobs
Physical Requirements:
1. Have valid Driver’s License and the ability to drive company vehicles
2. Maintain clean Motor Vehicle Record (driver abstract)
3. Able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
4. Able to work for extended time periods in large and confined spaces.
5. Able to work for extended periods of time with appropriate respirator equipment –
Must pass respirator fit test and medical evaluation.
6. Able to wear Tyvek suits for extended periods of time potentially extreme work conditions (Category 1 to Category 3)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
