Job Overview
The Contractor Consultants is seeking an experienced Mitigation Manager to lead and oversee our mitigation team and ensure high-quality water, fire, mold, and storm damage restoration services. This role is responsible for managing emergency response efforts, estimating jobs, scheduling production staff, ensuring quality control, and maintaining compliance with industry best practices. You will work directly with clients, insurance adjusters, and team members to deliver fast and effective solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Estimate all jobs utilizing required software and tools in a timely manner.
- Manage emergency response efforts, including water extraction, structural drying, mold remediation, and fire/smoke damage cleanup.
- Schedule jobs and production employees to ensure timely project completion and customer satisfaction.
- Supervise and train mitigation technicians, ensuring adherence to safety standards and proper equipment use.
- Oversee quality control, inspecting job sites and work to maintain high standards.
- Effectively communicate with customers, insurance agents, and adjusters, both written and verbally.
- Answer emergency calls on a 24/7 rotation basis.
- Identify and manage subcontracting needs while ensuring compliance with contract requirements.
- Monitor and manage job budgets, including labor and material costs.
- Hire, train, and terminate production employees in coordination with HR.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards, IICRC guidelines, and company policies.
- Maintain mitigation equipment, fleet vehicles, and inventory levels.
- Recognize and report potential subrogation issues.
- Prepare necessary reports and documentation related to job progress and compliance.
Qualifications & Skills
- 5 years of experience in mitigation/restoration services, with leadership or management experience preferred.
- IICRC Certification required (Water Damage Restoration - WRT, Fire & Smoke Restoration - FSRT, or Applied Structural Drying - ASD preferred).
- Experience estimating jobs using Xactimate software.
- Strong knowledge of mitigation techniques, drying equipment, dehumidification, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, training, and mentoring skills to develop a high-performing team.
- Ability to make quick decisions under pressure and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Strong customer service and communication skills to interact with clients, adjusters, and team members.
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
