Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and organized Toddler Program Coordinator to oversee the development, implementation, and daily operations of our toddler program. The ideal candidate will create engaging, age-appropriate activities, manage staff, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment for infants and toddlers. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of early childhood development.
Key Responsibilities:Program Development & Implementation
- Design and implement a high-quality, developmentally appropriate curriculum for toddlers (ages 1-3).
- Plan engaging activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Incorporate play-based and hands-on learning experiences aligned with early childhood education standards.
Staff Supervision & Training
- Train and mentor teachers and caregivers working in the toddler program.
- Monitor staff interactions with children and provide constructive feedback to enhance program quality.
Child Safety & Well-being
- Ensure a safe and nurturing environment that meets all health and safety regulations.
- Establish and enforce policies for child supervision, hygiene, and emergency procedures.
- Monitor children's development and work with parents/caregivers to address concerns.
Parent & Community Engagement
- Communicate regularly with parents.
- Serve as a liaison between families and the organization, addressing concerns and fostering positive relationships.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain attendance records, incident reports, and other required documentation.
- Stay updated on best practices and regulations in early childhood education.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Must have been a lead or a coordinator of a toddler program for at least 1 year to qualify.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of child development theories and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and community members.
- Passion for creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for toddlers.
