Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Oracle (SQL, PL/SQL) and secondary skills in Snowflake, Hive, and Python. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data warehousing concepts, ETL development, and cloud-based data solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL and PL/SQL queries in Oracle databases.
Implement data warehousing solutions using Snowflake, Hive, and Python.
Develop and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources.
Optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues related to SQL queries and PL/SQL procedures.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement scalable data solutions.
Work with cloud-based data platforms to enhance data processing and analytics capabilities.
Ensure data integrity, security, and governance in all data solutions.
Required Skills & Experience:
Strong expertise in Oracle SQL & PL/SQL (writing complex queries, stored procedures, triggers, performance tuning).
Hands-on experience with Snowflake (data modeling, query optimization, SnowSQL).
Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation.
Experience with Hive and other big data technologies is a plus.
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL frameworks.
Experience working with cloud-based data solutions (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools (Airflow, Apache Nifi, or similar).
Knowledge of performance tuning techniques in Oracle and Snowflake.
Understanding of data governance and security best practices.
Prior experience in financial services, healthcare, or e-commerce domains is a plus.
