Job Description
This position is responsible for leading the execution of daily operations and the delivery of services to Utilities customers in North America. The scope of services includes Data Analytics Platforms, Data and AI Strategy, Data Governance, and AMI Operations. The role supports OT and smart grid systems, as well as billing, data collection, and network support. It involves overseeing multiple projects and programs at customer locations.
The role also includes developing and reporting on key business metrics related to the organization’s data and analytics initiatives.
This position requires building a comprehensive strategy that aligns both technical and business resources to maximize the benefits of Data Analytics Platforms and AMI 2.0. Objectives include improving operational execution, adopting an enterprise-wide approach, ensuring appropriate resource levels, optimizing support processes, and managing risks and total cost of ownership.
Key Responsibilities
- Define operational and strategic objectives, and determine requirements to ensure successful implementation and delivery of business benefits.
- Lead change management efforts to ensure effective execution of process and business changes.
- Optimize relationships between software vendors, implementation partners, and business stakeholders.
- Identify and manage risks and constraints across projects and operations, continually reassessing methodologies and process metrics.
- Align team incentives and goals to support the achievement of project and business outcomes. Oversee issue resolution and escalation processes.
- Ensure adoption and effective use of software and processes through training, communication, and leadership engagement. Monitor and act on user feedback.
- Lead the technology roadmap by evaluating emerging Data and AI technologies in alignment with business priorities. This includes initiatives related to Data Analytics Platforms, DI apps, IoT, Neural Networks, Data Mining, convergence, and grid-edge technologies.
- Drive planning, strategy execution, and growth efforts, while contributing to team and leadership development.
- Lead enterprise-wide Generative AI strategy to drive operational improvements and efficiencies across business units.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 12 years of professional experience, including at least 4 years in a leadership role.
- Must have experience in the utility industry.
- Strong leadership and strategic management skills, with expertise in business process redesign.
- Ability to foster strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
- Adept at challenging assumptions and guiding stakeholders to clarify their needs.
