What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director/VP - Business Development position at Purple Maple?
Key Responsibilities:
•Partner with leadership team to develop and own the sales strategy and road map for Engineering Services Business for North America region.
•Drive revenue growth and manage profitability margins.
•Promote increased awareness of our current service offerings as well as create awareness towards new offerings in the space of AI / IoT, embedded electronics etc in automotive/heavy industry verticals.
•Build, develop and maintain a healthy pipeline for achieving the sales targets and providing visibility for future revenue growth.
•Expand the sales team and geography footprint as per the corporate sales strategy and tactical plans.
•Eye for competition intelligence and Next-Gen business offerings.
•Develop annual sales budgets and oversee the execution of business plans from time to time.
Key Competencies and Experience:
•Minimum 15 years with a proven track record in sales / business development. Minimum 5 years’ experience as a sales leader for the given domains (Automotive, Heavy Engineering, Industrial equipment etc), preferably in service industry.
•Well-connected within automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, EV start-ups in target geographies at CXO levels and or key decision makers.
•Experience of working with engineering service providers
