Position Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in dementia and memory care, along with strong skills in providing companionship and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive and empathetic care to clients, focusing on their unique needs and preferences.
- Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Support clients with meal preparation, medication reminders, and mobility assistance.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote cognitive function and emotional well-being.
- Offer companionship to reduce feelings of isolation and improve social interaction.
- Provide respite care to families, allowing them a break while ensuring their loved ones receive quality support.
- Document care activities and changes in client condition accurately and promptly.
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for clients.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a caregiver, particularly with dementia and memory care.
- Knowledge of ADLs and IADLs and the ability to assist clients in these areas.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping others.
- Ability to handle challenging situations with compassion and professionalism.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications (CNA, HHA) preferred.
- Must pass background checks and comply with all safety regulations.
