Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pantry/Salad/Cold Station team member to join our culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring the preparation of fresh, high-quality salads and cold dishes that meet our fine dining standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients for salads and cold items, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pantry and cold station areas.
- Utilize proper knife skills for chopping, slicing, and dicing vegetables and other ingredients.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely service during meal preparation.
- Follow all food safety guidelines and maintain hygiene standards in food handling.
- Support the dietary department by accommodating special dietary needs when necessary.
Skills
- Experience in meal preparation within the food industry or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, particularly in fine dining settings.
- Proficient knife skills and familiarity with various kitchen tools and equipment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation.
- A passion for cooking and creating visually appealing dishes that enhance the dining experience.
Needs to be able to lift at least 40 pounds.
