The Operations Training Coordinator is responsible for supporting, implementing, and assisting Operations and Sales training programs for new hires. This role ensures that staff members are well-equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to excel in their positions and contribute to the company's success.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Analysis of Training Needs:
    • Conduct a thorough analysis of training needs within the organization, focusing on auction-specific skills, customer service, company culture, and industry best practices.
  • Training Program Administration
    • Feedback Collection.
    • Maintain accurate records of training activities and participant progress.
    • Schedule and coordinate Operations/Sales training sessions.
  • Training Material Preparation:
    • Create and maintain training materials, such as manuals, guides, and e-learning modules, ensuring they are up-to-date and aligned with industry trends and company policies.
  • Facilitate and Support Training
    • Coordinate and facilitate training sessions, both in-person and virtual, for new hires and existing employees, covering topics such as auction processes, bidding procedures, and client relations.
    • Assist trainers with the preparation and delivery of training sessions.
    • Provide logistical support and troubleshoot any issues that arise during training.
  • Training Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with the Operations Training Coordinator, department heads, and subject matter experts to identify training requirements and ensure that training programs meet the needs of each department within the auction company.
    • Collaborate closely with Professional Development to ensure general headquarters training flows seamlessly to industry-specific training. 
    • Work closely with sales, when needed, to assist in training.
  • Industry Knowledge:
    • Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices, incorporating relevant updates into training programs.
  • Promote Culture of Learning:
    • Foster a continuous learning and development culture, encouraging employees to actively participate in training opportunities and apply newly acquired skills.
  • Undertake additional assigned duties as requested.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Agricultural Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2 years of experience in the auction industry.
  • Proven experience as a Training Coordinator or similar role, preferably within the auction or a related industry.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in creating and managing training software.
  • Ability to analyze data, generate reports, and make strategic recommendations.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for employee development and a commitment to driving organizational success through effective training initiatives.
  • Spanish-speaking bi-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Applicants must be either a U.S. Citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Requires the ability to satisfactorily complete a background check.

 

Working Settings:

  • Full-time Salaried Exempt, not eligible for overtime.
  • Office hours are 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday, Central Time zone, additional hours may be required depending on priorities.
  • Based in the Purple Wave headquarters in Manhattan, KS.
  • Potential for 20-30% travel, should the need arise.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to access various departments of a given location.

 

Compensation:

  • The salary varies based on experience and qualifications but typically ranges from $45,000 to $55,000 per year.
  • Monthly Bonus Program - determined by the Company’s monthly revenue result and are paid on a “percent to plan” payout formula. (90% = $300, 100% = $600, 110% = $900, 120% = $1,200).
  • This position includes company-provided cell phone and computer equipment.
  • Health, Dental, and Vision starting the first of the month after 60 days of employment.
  • 401(k) plan with an employer match up to 4% starting the first day of employment.
  • Company-paid Life Insurance benefit of $25,000 with options to add more through employee contribution starting the first of the month after 60 days of employment.
  • Personal Time Off (PTO) annual amount of 120 hours which is prorated based on the number of days between the 60th day of employment and the end of the calendar year.  May vary to comply with state requirements.
  • Eligible to participate in the Company Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP) through Copart after 90 days of employment, with enrollment opportunities each May and November.

Salary : $45,000 - $55,000
