Position Overview: Are you a skilled and enthusiastic barista with a passion for sustainability and a commitment to reducing our environmental impact? We are seeking a dedicated Barista/Server to join our team at Purple Waves. As a Barista, you will play a crucial role in crafting exceptional coffee and beverage experiences for our diverse community. As a newer business, it is important that our staff members are team players and happy to assist with various tasks as needed, including food service, taking customer orders, dishwashing, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and wine beverages to customers
- Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe and bar area
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately
- Assist in restocking inventory and supplies
- Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all patrons
- Stay updated on coffee and beverage offerings, including their sourcing and sustainability aspects
- Support our commitment to sustainability, circularity, waste elimination, and local sourcing
Qualifications:
- Previous barista experience is required
- A deep understanding and appreciation of sustainability, circularity, waste elimination, and local sourcing is strongly preferred
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
