Automation-Focused QA Tester

• Needs someone local to Boston, MA or Woodbridge, NJ – NO RELOCATION WILL BE CONSIDRED
• Interview Process: 1 video screen internally, 1 video interview with Client and 1 in person interview with Client
• 6 months contract length
• NEED TO KNOW where each candidate lives so the client can evaluate realistic commute.
• NEED to have Home and/or Auto insurance experience.

The Automation-Focused QA Tester will develop and execute software test cases based on project requirements and technical designs. This role involves automating testing processes, managing test data, and ensuring the quality and readiness of software releases. The tester will work closely with developers and project teams, supporting test planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test cases in alignment with project scope and delivery timelines.
• Plan test schedules and strategies, documenting test cases, results, and defects using MicroFocus Quality Center/ALM.
• Create and manage test data, including data for automated scripts.
• Communicate project quality and release readiness through standard reporting templates.
• Provide feedback to developers on software usability and functionality.
• Support the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase by sharing test information and creating test data using automated processes.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in software testing or Property & Casualty Insurance.
• Proficiency with Quality Center/ALM for test case and defect management.
• Experience with SQL and XML for data testing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work independently or within a team.
• Process improvement mindset and ability to drive quality initiatives.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
