BILINGUAL OFFICE CLERK
The Home Health Office Clerk is responsible for routine clerical matters and assuring that documents flow in a coordinated and efficient manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answers telephone inquiries and channels them appropriately.
- Provide assistance in all departments, preserving the confidential nature of items of which he/she has knowledge.
- Maintains the files, supplies, postage and general office condition in an orderly manner.
- Files paper clinical notes into the system
- Sends physician's orders for signature. Keeps a current log of what is sent and tracks receipt of the signed documents.
- Experience with MS Office Suites.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bilingual - Spanish is required.
- Performs all necessary copying, data entry, and filing.
- Track verbal orders and all forms signed by the clinician, patients, and aides.
- Track and file all plans of treatment and medical order forms, notate verbal orders in patient files, and notify the nursing staff of their presence.
- Input patients' and staff's schedules on the computer and new patient and new employee information.
- Maintains an adequate office supply inventory and oversees the maintenance of office equipment.
- Timely answering of phones in a clear and articulate professional manner.
- File, copy, scan, fax and prepare FEDEX packages as required.
- Maintain confidentiality of all office and record information.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Minimum of one (1) year experience preferably in home health or health care
2. Is at least 18 years of age.
3. Must be Bilingual - Spanish preferred.
SKILLS REQUIRED
1. Able to type 50 words per minute
2. Word processing skills
3. Personal computer skills
4. Business machine knowledge
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per year
