The Role
The E-Commerce Supply Chain Planner integrates key responsibilities from Demand Planning, E-Commerce, and Supply Planning to create a seamless and efficient approach to planning and execution. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining demand plans by leveraging forecasting tools, collaborating with Amazon Sales to translate data into actionable plans, and improving forecast accuracy through error and bias metrics. Additionally, this role will own supply planning by developing and maintaining supply plans for their assigned product portfolio. The E-Commerce Supply Chain Planner will work directly with the Co-Manufacturer to ensure production aligns with demand, manage production schedules, and balance inventory levels to meet business and customer needs. This role will also oversee new product development (NPD) projects within their portfolio, ensuring smooth execution from planning to commercialization. This role requires strong analytical skills, cross-functional collaboration, and a proactive approach to forecasting, supply continuity, new product launches, and fulfillment execution to support the evolving needs of the Amazon Business Team.

What You Will Do
Demand & E-Commerce Fulfillment Planning:
- Develop and Execute Replenishment Plans: Create and maintain replenishment strategies for Amazon fulfillment centers, ensuring optimal stocking levels and addressing replenishment needs for all e-commerce-only products.
- Collaborate on Demand Forecasting: Develop and maintain rolling demand forecasts by analyzing historical sales, researching demand drivers, and working with the Amazon Sales team to refine forecasts.
- Monitor Inventory Health: Proactively manage inventory at Amazon fulfillment centers, addressing stranded inventory, minimizing product destruction, and ensuring alignment with supply chain targets.
- Support Amazon FBA Operations: Oversee weekly stock transfers, reconcile shipments, and resolve inventory discrepancies to maintain high case fill rates.
- Drive Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements in forecasting, fulfillment, and e-commerce operations to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
- Own and Maintain Supply Plans: Develop and manage supply planning strategies for assigned product portfolios, ensuring alignment between demand forecasts and production capabilities.
- Manage Production with Co-Manufacturers: Work directly with Co-Manufacturers to communicate production requirements, align schedules with demand, and ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Optimize Production Flows: Balance production schedules with capacity constraints, raw material availability, and business priorities to prevent stock shortages or overproduction.
- Inventory Allocation & Balancing: Ensure proper inventory levels are maintained across fulfillment centers by managing supply plans, addressing fluctuations in demand, and resolving supply bottlenecks.
- Ensure Supply Continuity: Proactively identify supply chain risks, anticipate potential disruptions, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain consistent product availability.
- Track and Manage Safety Stock Targets: Establish and maintain safety stock levels for assigned products, adjusting planning parameters based on lead times, demand trends, and business needs.
- Lead Issue Resolution with Co-Manufacturers: Address supply constraints, manage escalations, and resolve production-related issues that impact order fulfillment.
- Manage New Product Development Projects: Oversee the supply chain planning aspects of new product launches within the assigned portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives and launch timelines.
- Coordinate Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Co-Manufacturers to ensure smooth transitions from product ideation to commercialization.
- Plan for Inventory & Production Readiness: Develop supply and demand plans for new products, ensuring sufficient inventory availability at launch while minimizing excess stock risks.
- Mitigate Risks in NPD Execution: Identify potential bottlenecks, production challenges, or fulfillment constraints and implement proactive solutions to avoid disruptions.
- Support Product Phase-Ins & Phase-Outs: Manage inventory transitions for new product introductions and discontinued items to optimize stock levels and prevent obsolescence.
- Manage Inventory Allocation: Oversee product allocations to Amazon fulfillment centers, ensuring inventory is positioned correctly based on demand forecasts and customer commitments.
- Coordinate Cross-Functional Initiatives: Work with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to align on product launches, discontinuations, and demand assumptions.
- Lead Issue Resolution: Address inventory constraints, collaborate on escalations, and resolve non-conforming materials or disruptions to maintain supply continuity.
- Analyze Data for Insights: Utilize data to uncover trends, resolve problems, and provide recommendations for improving forecasting accuracy and replenishment effectiveness.
- Ensure Business Continuity: Protect financial performance by proactively addressing supply chain risks and implementing corrective actions.
- 2 years of experience in supply planning, demand planning, or inventory management.
- Prior experience as a supply planner or deployment analystin a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- 2 years of experience in finished goods demand forecasting, planning, and inventory management.
- Experience working directly with Co-Manufacturers to manage production schedules and align supply with demand.
- Experience managing New Product Development (NPD) projects, including supply chain planning for product launches.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Ability to analyze trends, troubleshoot issues, and provide data-driven insights to improve planning accuracy and execution.
- Proficiency in Forecasting Tools and Systems: Expertise in forecasting software (e.g., Forecast Pro) and MRP/DRP systems (Syspro preferred).
- Detail-Oriented with High Attention to Accuracy: Ensures precision in data analysis, reporting, and inventory planning.
- Process Improvement Mindset: Demonstrated ability to optimize forecasting accuracy, inventory levels, and supply chain efficiency.
