Position Overview:
The Client Care Supervisor is expected to perform a variety of duties in the coordination of scheduling services or clients. The Client Care Supervisor is responsible for scheduling patients/clients and home care aides in order to provide the highest quality of care.
Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Reflects the values of PurposeCare.
2. Answers each incoming calls in a friendly, professional, and knowledgeable manner.
3. Fields new patient/client inquiries over the phone in a knowledgeable manner.
4. Coordinates home care aides' schedules on a daily basis.
5. Monitors, mediates, and logs both patient/client and home health aides in system.
6. Follows up on home care assignments and patient/client services.
7. Coordinates and maintains monthly client schedules in system.
8. Enters and maintains accurate records patient/client and home health aides in system.
9. Ensures optimal utilization of all authorized hours.
10. Follows staffing and company policies.
11. Participates in on-call rotation.
12. Maintains regular attendance.
13. Demonstrates open and effective communication with owner, colleagues, and home care aides.
14. Participates in home care aides' meetings as needed.
15. Assists in maintaining a complete Service Schedule.
Education and Experience:
1. High school graduation or equivalent.
2. One-year related business experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
3. Must possess a valid driver's license.
4. Ability to meet and deal tactfully with patient/client and the community.
5. Has excellent observation, verbal, listening and written skills.
6. Knowledge of business management and government regulations a plus.
7. Understanding of and uphold the policies and procedures of PurposeCare.
8. Ability to work independently.
9. The ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills is essential as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills.
10. Must demonstrate discretion, integrity, and fair-mindedness consistent with company standards, practices, policies, and procedures.
11. Ability to organize and prioritize daily, monthly, and yearly work.
12. Ability to establish good working relationships with management, colleagues, home care aides and patients/clients.
13. Ability to sit at desk and listen effectively for long periods of time via telephone.
14. Ability to present a professional appearance and demeanor.
15. Ability to operate office equipment.
16. Must be patient and congenial on the phone.
17. Must have computer skills and be proficient in Word and Excel.
18. Ability to work evenings and weekends if required.
19. Ability to perform duties in a professional office setting.
20. Knowledge of the senior care industry.
