About the Opportunity:
Pursuit Aerospace is seeking a motivated CNC Programming Intern to join our team. This role provides an exciting opportunity to learn and develop CNC programming skills for precision aerospace components. The intern will work closely with engineers, machinists, and programmers to gain hands-on experience in program development, optimization, and troubleshooting within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in creating and modifying CNC programs using CAD/CAM software.
- Support process improvement initiatives by analyzing cycle times and tool efficiency.
- Review technical drawings and specifications to ensure programming accuracy.
- Conduct CNC program verification through simulation and shop floor testing.
- Collaborate with machinists and engineers to refine machining processes.
- Document best practices and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Participate in troubleshooting machining and programming challenges.
- Maintain organized records of CNC programs, tool paths, and process updates.
- Provide programming solutions to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
- Participate in cross-functional projects to improve manufacturing processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.
- General understanding of machining concepts, practices, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with CAD/CAM software (NX or similar preferred).
- Basic knowledge of blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint preferred).
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in CNC programming or manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with process optimization and cycle time analysis.
- Passion for CNC programming and process improvement.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires mobility in a manufacturing plant environment while using Personal Protective Equipment.
- Must be able to frequently sit, stand, and walk.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
- Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
