Shift: 2nd Shift (5:00pm-1:00am, M-F). 2nd Shift employees receive a 12% shift differential to their base pay. Please note that paid day training is required before you can begin working the night shift.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspection & Quality Assurance: Conduct detailed inspections of engine parts using precision measurement tools. Review specifications and blueprints to ensure compliance with aerospace standards. Identify and disposition non-conforming parts.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inspection results, measurement data, and non-conformance reports. Prepare and submit First Article Inspection (FAI) packages and special process documentation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and production teams to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with other inspectors to share best practices and improve inspection methods.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for process enhancement and optimizing inspection techniques.
- Training Support: Assist in training new team members on inspection protocols, quality standards, and the use of measurement equipment.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality regulations, and company policies throughout all inspection activities.
- Problem-Solving: Utilize root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques to address quality issues, implementing effective preventive measures.
Qualifications:
Skills:

- Technical Expertise: Proficient in Aerospace standards, able to interpret blueprint requirements, and GD&T principles.
- Mentoring: Demonstrated mentoring skills with the ability to develop others in quality-related processes and techniques.
- Continuous Improvement: Commitment to implementing and developing business improvement initiatives within the Quality department, which may include developing procedures for inspectors and providing training.
- Interpersonal and Troubleshooting Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and adept at troubleshooting quality issues.
Education and/or Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 5 years of experience in quality inspection, preferably within the aerospace sector.
- Experience with reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with manual layout inspection techniques, CMM inspections, and machining processes such as turning and milling.
- Experience in aerospace is advantageous.
- Proficiency in English language, both verbal and written.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret blueprints and sketches accurately.
