Job Summary :
The Director of Software Testing Delivery will lead and oversee all aspects of software testing and quality assurance across multiple projects and geographies. This leadership role demands a strategic thinker with a proven ability to manage global delivery teams, drive innovation, and ensure high-quality software solutions align with business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in testing frameworks, delivery methodologies, and emerging technologies while maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Strategic Leadership
- Define and implement the organization’s software testing vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Ensure alignment with business goals and global delivery objectives.
- Champion quality assurance best practices across the organization.
2. Delivery Management
Oversee the end-to-end software testing lifecycle for all projects.Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of testing services while maintaining the highest quality standards.Operates as a specialist and consultant on all aspects of software testing and gives advice to both client / user and management to determine the most appropriate testing strategies for complex projects within the constraints and operational requirements of the organization.Monitor project health, risk, and compliance to ensure successful delivery.3. Team Leadership
Build, mentor, and lead a global team of testing professionals, including test architects, managers, and engineers.Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and collaboration.Develop succession plans and career development paths for team members.4. Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including product management, development, and client teams, to ensure alignment on quality objectives.Act as a key point of contact for client escalations and quality concerns.5. Technology and Innovation
Drive the adoption of modern testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies such as AI-driven testing, DevOps, and test automation.Stay updated on industry trends to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of testing technology.6. Operational Excellence
Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for testing teams and delivery success.Ensure effective Financial Management - holds P & L Responsibility.Manage budgets, resources, and vendor relationships efficiently.Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and data protection standards.Qualifications : Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).Experience :
15 to 25 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or software delivery roles, with at least 5 years in senior leadership positions managing large QA teams.Proven experience managing global testing delivery team of at least between 50 – 250 members.Technical Skills :
Expertise in QA methodologies, test automation frameworks, tools (such as Tosca, Selenium, JIRA, TestNG, Jenkins, etc.), performance testing tools, and CI / CD pipelines.Strong knowledge of Agile, DevOps, and other software delivery methodologies.Familiarity with cloud platforms, AI-driven testing tools, and data analytics for QA.Leadership Skills :
Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams.Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Strong ability to communicate complex ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
