Purvis Property Management is a 3rd generation family-owned company located in Chantilly, Virginia. We are looking for an energetic, friendly, team-player, self-starter and organized candidate to join our team.
The Property Manager leads and assists with the day‐to‐day responsibilities of the property management team and functions with regard to any/all properties to which he/she is assigned. The focus of the job is to support the client in all aspects of managing the property.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Leasing Assistance-
- Processing applications
- Drafting leases
- Emergency cell phone monitoring (phone provided)
- Inspects vacant properties as needed
Tenant Relationship-
- Maintains a close working relationship with tenants
- Responds to emails/voicemails within 24 hours
- Responds to emergencies within 30 minutes (emergency cell phone shared responsibilities)
Owner Relationship-
- Establish and maintains relationship with clients
- Meet with new clients
- New client on-board process & set-up
Maintenance-
- Coordinates with the tenants, contractors, and vendors to facilitate repairs as they arise
- Obtains bids – Major repairs & maintenance/repairs
- Ensures any work performed is satisfactorily completed
- Photos and coordination emails as necessary
- Perform inspections on completed work
- Obtain and negotiate estimates for projects and supervise work through to completion
- Replenish inventory where necessary

Qualfications:
The ideal candidate will be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel, Word and Outlook. The candidate must have experience associated with managerial and administrative duties, and possess strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and juggle multiple job functions. A strong background in customer service, knowledge of residential properties with the ability to troubleshoot, and experience in coordinating and scheduling are essential. Training on software (Propertyware) will be provided. Some local travel to meet with clients and visit properties is required.

- Prior experience with industry specific software (Propertyware) a plus but not required, as long as this person has the ability to learn new programs as needed

Hours & Commitment
This position will require a weekly commitment of approximately 40 hours, and shall be compensated based on experience. Hours are 9-5pm Monday-Friday.
