PURVIS Systems has an immediate opening for a Configuration Management (CM) Specialist to support a highly visible, large multi-year product development effort.
\n- Manage the configuration of hardware inventory, documentation, product releases, and software for Torpedo Systems Programs.
- Review and development of Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) and Request for Variance (RFV)
- Maintain ECPs and RFVs from initial creation including routing for approvals, signatures, and implementation within CMPro.
- Maintenance of document revision, change and baseline establishment.
- Reporting of document statuses, review of documents for accuracy, and distribution as necessary.
- Maintain configuration status accounting using Government-provided Configuration Management Systems.
- Perform functional configuration audits to ensure product designs are accurately documented and baselines are verified.
- Implement procedures for releasing new products throughout the products’ entire life cycle.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Several years of experience in configuration management or a related field, with progressively increasing responsibilities. Experience with configuration management tools and methodologies is essential.
- Experience with Windchill and enterprise PDM preferred.
- Proficient with CMPro, Microsoft Project and Office Suite
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for effectively communicating configuration management requirements and collaborating with stakeholders.
- Meticulous attention to detail is critical for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of configuration management data.
Candidate must be able to obtain a government security clearance to the level of SECRET.
