The full-time Logistician position works with our Government Property Team on-site in our Middletown facility. The Logistician plays a key part as a custodian of Government Property, ensuring that the receipt, storage, tracking, inventory control, and disposition of contract assets acquired by PURVIS adhere to government and company standards, along with any contractual requirements.
The day to day responsibilities of this role will include:
- Shipping and receiving of freight and local carrier deliveries.
- Completing necessary asset transference documentation.
- Physical intake, data entry, and barcode assignment of assets into inventory.
- Processing material and equipment requests for distribution to authorized contract personnel and locations.
- Participating in inventory audits and assessments as required.
- Data entry in inventory database.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
- 1-4 years of warehouse/supply chain experience, preferably in a Government contracting environment, to include logistics support involving installation, repair, production, and distribution of material and equipment for classified projects.
- Proficiency with Windows suite, including Microsoft Word and Excel, and SharePoint.
- Experience with inventory databases a plus
- General working knowledge of government supply system programs, policies, acronyms, and nomenclatures, and familiarity with Navy/Submarine operations/systems, a plus.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Good time management skills with an adaptive approach to challenges.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to collaborate with team members to meet department goals.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
