PURVIS Systems has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day operations on-site at a Government location located in Newport, RI.
\n- Supporting pnuematic and pressurized systems, working with compressors, rotary actuators, and valves.
- Maintain mechanical piping systems, functioning as a pipe fitter.
- Maintain plumbing systems, such as water treatment systems, humidifiers, and dehumidifiers.
- Perform and update preventative and corrective maintenance procedures.
- Handles transfers of Hazmat items.
- Facility modifications and fabrication.
- High School Education or Trade/Technical School.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 2 to 3 years of maintenance work experience.
- Plumbing/Pipefitting experience and electrical circuit knowledge a plus.
- Familiar with hydraulic systems and maintain hydraulic system components, such as pumps, valves, actuators, vane pumps, piston pumps, gear pump and hydraulic fluids.
- Maintenance Technician will use various power tools, drills, grinders, chop saws, saw all, nail guns.
- Technician will be required to lift, pull, or carry items of weight and size commensurate with job requirements.
- Must be flexible to work schedule, including shifts and weekends, as needed.
This position required the candidate to be able to obtain a government security clearance at the SECRET level.
