Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our legal team as a Legal Assistant specializing in monitoring incoming court emails and filing associated documents within the case files. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate management of legal correspondence and documents, supporting our litigation projects
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor incoming court emails on a regular basis.
- Identify and categorize emails based on their relevance to ongoing cases.
- File associated documents accurately within the respective case files.
- Scan documents received via email and distribute them to the appropriate parties within the legal team.
- Maintain electronic and physical filing systems to ensure easy access and retrieval of documents.
- Assist with other litigation projects as assigned by the supervising attorney or legal team.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
- Prior experience in a legal support role or administrative position preferred.
- Familiarity with legal document management systems and email platforms.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) - Required
- 1-2 years of personal injury litigation experience - Preferred
