As Director of Business Development you will oversee content deals from inception to completion. You will partner with our creative team to solve for what we make and how we make it. The Director of Business Development will manage key relationships with external stakeholders, and will work closely with our entire business team and C-suite in crafting deals that empower Pushkin’s creative ambitions. This role will report to the CEO.

About The Role

Primary Responsibilities
- Manage podcast and audiobook deal process from initial terms through to agreement execution and renewal
- Negotiate and finalize all aspects of deal terms
- Maintain deal pipeline for internal visibility and communicate with senior management around key issues
- Develop and/or deepen external contacts and relationships with content partners, talent and agents
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to build and refine deal frameworks
- Support other senior leaders on deal analysis and negotiation
- Manage and direct external media legal counsel
- Networker: You come with a strong existing network of relationships in the podcast and media space and can build and sustain relationships internally and externally.

- 5-8 years of media or agency experience
- 3-5 years experience in business development and podcast (or other media) deal structures
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results through external collaboration and negotiation
- Business savvy and exceptional communication skills
- Strategic thinking with the ability to analyze data and translate it into specific and measurable tactics, actions, and outcomes
- Strong judgment, ability to multitask, make decisions, and manage at entrepreneurial speed.
- Passionate consumer of podcasts and/or audiobooks
- MBA or JD a plus
