TITLE : Special Education Teacher Assistant
QUALIFICATIONS :
- A two year associate degree or higher, or an official transcript documenting successful completion of a minimum of 48 college hours from an accredited institution of higher learning or a passing score on the Para-Pro Assessment or the Oklahoma General Aptitude Test (OGAT).
REPORTS TO : Special Education Teacher and / or Administrator
JOB GOAL : Assist teachers to provide an appropriate education and related services for students with disabilities.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES :

on and lifting off toilets, cleaning and redressing; caring for intimate feminine hygiene,
changing diapers and bathing and cleaning potties].
putting away clean laundry and dishes, and some hand washing of laundry and dishes.
assisting the students in feeding themselves, scraping trays, cleaning tables and floors.
board and other classroom learning displays and decorations up to date, typing and filing.
devices and other equipment; plan and decorate for parties and special events; and ASSIST
WHEREVER THERE MAY BE A NEED.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT : Nine months basis.
EVALUATION : Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in
accordance with provisions of the Board's policy of Evaluation of Support Personnel.
