Site Development Coordinator
The Putnam County Development Authority (PCDA) is the lead economic development agency for Putnam County, WV. The agency’s mission is to drive development leading to job creation, a stronger tax base, and a greater quality of life with a focus on development in housing, talent, businesses, and sites.
The Site Development Coordinator will primarily focus on identifying and preparing sites for development with many other responsibilities. The PCDA team is a group of hard-working, passionate public servants who hustle to strengthen the county’s economy. The ideal candidate will model similar work ethic and regard to the community with an interest in engineering, research, and processes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
(What you’ll be doing)
- Manage the property database by fielding entries and logging information.
- Identify properties for development including communication with land owners, realtors, government agencies, and utility providers.
- Continuously learn about grant opportunities, utilities, infrastructure, archeology, geology, engineering, and permitting for site development, business attraction, and retention.
- Identify potential grant opportunities for PCDA and local businesses.
- Support Executive Director with completion of requests for information (RFIs).
- Prepare information for marketing purposes.
- Attend and plan business events including after-hour meetings and potential overnight travel.
- Maintain and manage PCDA-owned property including landlord responsibilities, upgrades, permitting, and site work.
- Assist with other PCDA projects such as workforce and housing development.
- Support Executive Director with other duties as assigned.

STARTING SALARY RANGE: $40,000-$50,000
Salary and responsibilities will be reviewed after three months of employment.
Position reports to Executive Director and works Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm at 600 Prestige Park, Hurricane, WV 25526.
