General Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Highly skilled technical work providing professional programming and analytical services. Activities would require interaction with development software and operating systems to create / modify / maintain data-centric applications.

Essential Job Functions

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Provide internal and external users with technical support of applications.
  • Collaborate with County IT department to plan, develop, test & implement business solutions using a variety of techniques, tools and languages.
  • Collaborate with software vendors to plan, develop, test, and implement business solutions using a variety of techniques, tools and languages.
  • Design and develop SQL Server database objects, including views, stored procedures and indexes.
  • Maintain, modify and enhance existing application programs
  • Develop and maintain applications that integrate with vendor solutions.
  • Interface with users to provide technical expertise for systems, applications and web sites.
  • Draws and updates base map of areas, cities, and counties.
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • In-depth knowledge of computers and other office equipment.
  • Windows and web development including presentation layer, data access, and database development.
  • Experience with : Visual Studio, SQL, C#, ASP.Net MVC / WebAPI, Typescript, Angular and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of adapting patterns and existing libraries in programming solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with emphasis on superior customer service.
  • Detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task and problem solve, while meeting project deadlines.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written technical instructions and scripts.
  • Ability to learn and understand basic laws and regulations affecting property appraisal.
  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associate degree in computer science or related field with 1 years of related experience.
  • Minimum (1) year experience developing and maintaining SQL Server databases.
  • Minimum (1) year experience developing and maintaining web or Net applications.
  • A comparable amount of training, education, or experience may be substituted for the above minimum qualifications.)

    LICENSES, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATIONS

  • Valid Florida driver's license
  • ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS

  • Acceptable hearing and eyesight (with or without correction)
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to access, input and retrieve information from a computer
  • Ability to sit at a desk and / or drafting table for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend and stoop.
  • Ability to lift lightweight objects (up to 15 pounds)

    ANNUAL (VACATION) LEAVE - All regular full-time employees assigned to a 37.50 work week will earn 90 hours to 150 hours, depending on classification and length of service. All regular full-time employees assigned to a 40 hour work week will earn 96 hours to 160 hours, depending on classification and length of service. Note : Leave accruals may differ for bargaining unit employees.

    SICK LEAVE - All regular full-time employees will earn sick leave at a rate of 13 days per year. Regular part time employees will accrue sick leave on a pro-rata basis. Note : Leave accruals may differ for bargaining unit employees.
