We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to transition to a House Supervisor position. This position is perfect for an RN who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced hospital environment and is looking to contribute to the overall coordination of patient care throughout the facility.
Position Overview:
As an RN/House Supervisor, you will serve as a key resource for clinical leadership during your shift, ensuring the hospital operates efficiently and effectively. You will oversee patient flow, staffing, and clinical operations, providing direction and support to nursing staff, physicians, and other hospital personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and clinical guidance to staff throughout the hospital.
- Coordinate staffing needs, including overseeing nursing assignments and adjustments based on patient care needs.
- Ensure patient care standards are met, and that care is delivered safely and effectively.
- Act as the primary point of contact for any operational, clinical, or staffing issues that arise during the shift after hours.
- Monitor patient flow and resource utilization to optimize hospital operations.
- Address patient, family, and staff concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Participate in hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives and strategic planning.
- Provide support and mentorship to staff, fostering a positive work environment.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in [State].
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in clinical nursing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of hospital operations, patient care protocols, and healthcare regulations.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required, PALS required,
