Putnam County Hospital is seeking compassionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHCs) and Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs) to join our Behavioral Health team. This unique, integrated model places mental health professionals directly in primary care offices, allowing for immediate, warm hand-offs to reduce stigma and make mental health care more accessible. Position Overview:
As a Behavioral Health Clinician, you will work full-time within our primary care offices, based out of Putnam County Hospital’s family practices. We currently have openings at our Family Medicine of Cloverdale and Greencastle office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based assessments and interventions in primary care mental health integration.
- Conduct functional behavioral assessments and design brief, single-session interventions within primary care visits.
- Utilize motivational interviewing to promote healthy behavior changes during integrated and outpatient visits.
- Complete psychosocial assessments and collaboratively establish measurable treatment goals using evidence-based interventions.
- Manage a diverse patient caseload, including primary care integration, outpatient therapy, and consultations

Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP):
As a member of our Behavioral Health team, you would be eligible to apply for the Indiana State Loan Repayment Program (SLRP), which provides financial assistance for qualifying professionals serving in underserved areas. Here’s how it works:
- Financial Assistance: Eligible candidates can receive up to $40,000 in student loan repayment assistance for a 4-year commitment, awarded in 2-year increments of $20,000 each.
- Commitment: The program requires a commitment in 2-year increments, with the potential to renew for a total of up to 4 years.
- Eligibility Requirements: To apply, candidates must meet all Indiana SLRP requirements, including working full-time in a qualifying facility within a designated Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA).

Requirements
Requirements:
- Current licensure as an LMHC or LCSW in the State of Indiana.
- 1-3 years of clinical therapy experience preferred, but we are open to new graduates looking to learn!
- Competency in using evidence-based treatments for mental and behavioral health interventions.
