Job Summary:
The Network Administrator reports directly to the IT Director and is responsible for the day-to-day network and server operations for the hospital.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the installation, upgrading, replacement, troubleshooting and repair of the Hospital’s computer and system system hardware. Working knowledge of VMWARE, VergeOS and other hypervisors is a plus.
- Responsible for the installation, upgrading, replacement, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of standalone systems, wired and Aruba wireless networks, computers, printers and miscellaneous equipment as needed. Experience with VEEAM and Storware backup utilities is preferred.
- Provides networking, hardware, software, and relational database support for the Hospital’s information system and all associated hardware and operating systems, including both data and Avaya voice communication systems.
- Provides training, installations, maintenance, repair and troubleshooting on all hardware
- Assists Hospital departments with system software problems and inquires
- Participates in 24 hour on-call coverage to support the Hospital Information System
- Maintains interfaces, communications, enhancements and integration among Hospital sub-systems and between Hospital information systems and outside vendors
- Analyzes information systems needs, forecasts and develops options, recommends coordinated solutions for system infrastructure, maintenance, project supervision and training
- Works with Hospital physician staff in setup and training of Citrix, VPN with Duo MFA remote access to the Hospital system
- Implements and provides new and/or upgraded software for the Hospital’s computer systems and standalone departmental systems

Qualifications
Education Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Years of Related Experience: 3 years
Driver's License Required: Yes
Travel Requirements: <25%
Job Requirements:
• Must have a thorough knowledge of computer systems, hardware and software. Must be able to think logically to develop automated solutions
• Must be able to understand the application areas and be able to work with Hospital personnel in those areas

• Interacts daily with other departments, administration, and outside vendors to troubleshoot, load upgrades, and perform preventive maintenance and inventory.
• Bending at the waist, kneeling, balancing, lifting, reaching, writing, sitting (particularly for long periods of time), talking, hearing, and handling (holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand). Frequent lifting, carrying, walking, standing on feet.
