What a great opportunity Putnam County Hospital has for a Radiologic Technologist that is looking to broaden their skillset! The brand new location, set to open March 2025 at the YMCA, will provide Prompt Care, Occupational Health and Sports Medicine service lines to the Greencastle community all under one Medical Office Building. This role will provide the physicians with amazing imaging, but will be responsible for other clinic functions that involve improving the health status, wellness and quality of life for customers, employees and the community as a whole through disease prevention, health promotion, and injury care.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
• Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures.
• Performs clinic functions- quality assessments, testing, clinical care, phlebotomy, injections, and injury treatment.
Provides patient education as it relates to exam accomplished.
• Assists in maintaining department and patient records respecting confidentiality and established policy. Repsonsible for calling results, copying exams, mailing exams and providing records for release to patients as needed.
• Provides input for equipment purchase and supply decisions. May be responsible for supply ordering as requested by the radiology manager.
• Assumes responsibility for assigned areas and report any equipment malfunction to the manager or designee. Is responsible for keeping work areas and cassettes clean and organized.
• Participates in the department QA and improvement plans. May be responsible for specific QC duties.
• Observes standard precautions and complete the annual mandatory in service.
• Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
• Current CPR certification
• Completion of an American Medical Associated approved program of Radiology Technology and the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) also approved by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists
• Registered or registry eligible by the (ARRT) American Registry of Radiologic Technologist
• General certificate presented by the Indiana State Board of Health
• Ability to advance knowledge base of this profession through experience and continuing education
• Ability to organize work and establish priorities
• Must provide compassionate care to all patients
Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of fluoroscopy, surgical, special procedures, or portable radiography
• Previous experience as a medical assistant performing patient care and clerical duties preferred.
