LOCATION : Mountin View Elementary School
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Five (5) Years Teaching Experience
- Must Participate In Training Program
- Master's Degree And / Or Previous Advanced Training In Teacher Effectiveness
- Willingness To Assist New Teachers And Perform Assigned Responsibilities Such As :
- Regular Observations / Conferences
- Attendance At Monthly Support Team Meetings
- Completion Of A Log Book
- Ongoing Support And Assistance To New Employee
- Same Programmatic Level As Intern And Same Building Location If Possible
SALARY : The Mentor Shall Receive A Stipend Paid By The West Virginia Department Of Education.
LENGTH OF EMPLOYMENT : 2024-25 School Year and 2025-26 School Year
JOB DESCRIPTION : Participate in a formal beginning teacher assistance program; help resolve
problems of beginning teachers through assistance and support; classroom observation and follow-up conferences concerning teaching techniques, classroom management skills, improved relationships with students, etc.; assist with identifying goals and objectives; assist with self-evaluation of intern teacher
