Job Title: Orthodontic Assistant
Hours: Monday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Tues to Friday 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Location: Carmel and Briarcliff Manor NY (Travel to both locations is Mandatory)
Pay: $18-20/hour (No Experience Necessary!)
Overview:
We are a thriving orthodontic practice looking for a Bilingual Orthodontic Assistant to join our team! This is an entry-level position that offers the opportunity to learn and grow in the exciting field of orthodontics. If you're enthusiastic, reliable, and fluent in both English and Spanish, we want to hear from you! Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the orthodontist with a variety of treatments and procedures
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment for patient care
- Take diagnostic X-rays (such as panoramic and cephalometric radiographs)
- Help explain procedures and post-treatment care to patients in both English and Spanish
- Assist with applying and adjusting braces, aligners, and other orthodontic appliances
- Provide patient education on proper care and hygiene for braces and orthodontic devices
- Keep accurate patient records and assist with scheduling appointments
- Ensure patient comfort and answer questions before, during, and after appointments
- Support the orthodontic team with any necessary administrative tasks, such as filing and maintaining inventory
Qualifications:
- No previous orthodontic experience required (training will be provided)
- High school diploma or GED (required) and valid drivers license
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for patient care
- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Preferred:
- Previous experience in a dental or medical office is helpful, but not necessary
