Job Details
Job Purpose
The Bar Prep plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and efficient bar operations. This position is responsible for preparing food and mix components to precise specifications, setting up stations in alignment with the menu, and maintaining a clean, sanitary workspace in compliance with safe food handling practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for service, including chopping, portioning, mixing, and other necessary tasks.
- Set up and stock workstations with all required supplies and ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization by properly labeling and storing items and thoroughly cleaning the workspace after use.
- Work efficiently to ensure timely preparation and delivery of items.
- Stock and re-stock inventory as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist management in onboarding and training new team members, when applicable.
- Communicate operational needs to management promptly.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Additional Information
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in high-volume culinary or bar prep environments; experience with multiple stations is a plus.
- Strong understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy, and physically demanding environment.
- Must be able to lift loads exceeding 35 pounds and occasionally exert up to 50 pounds of force.
- Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, with extended periods of standing or walking required.
- Ability to work in environments with wet floors, high temperatures, and frequent handwashing/glove use.
- Safe food handler certification required.
