What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Specialist position at Putzmeister?
Summary: The primary responsibility of the Accounts Payable Specialist is to ensure that all expenses are properly posted and paid. Responsibility is to work with vendors on payment matters and input data into SAP, reconciling between PMA and the vendor. The individual should be willing to help develop and integrate new processes and procedures. An individual eager to learn and advance in their career.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Receive, process, verify, reconcile, and post AP invoices
- Charge expenses to GL accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoices/expense reports
- Ensure that banking information and remittance information is accurate
- Monitor SmartFix invoice processing system and accounts payable email
- Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
- Process and implement the weekly Accounts Payable ACH check run
- Process manual checks and ACH returns
- Conduct a monthly review of outstanding checks and review of the petty cash account
- Complete annual 1099’s
- Work with the Accounting Manager on yearly CSOX and financial audit requests
- Back up to Accounts Receivable
- Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Accounting Manager and Director of Finance

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- 0-1 year of accounting experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Strong mathematical skills
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Data Entry
- Excel and Microsoft Suite knowledge a plus, but not necessary
- ERP functional experience (SAP) a plus, but not necessary
