What are the responsibilities and job description for the Territory Sales Representative - West Coast position at Putzmeister?
Position Summary:
This position is located in California. Sales territories include California, Arizona, Nevada, and Hawaii. Perform under the direction of a VP of Sales in canvassing, selling, and maintaining a designated territory within a specific region.
Responsibilities:
- Present Putzmeister product line to potential customers in the construction-related fields.
- Travel the designated territory while making sales calls to Putzmeister's current customers, competitor users, and potential new customers.
- Prepare and negotiate sales quotations of full product offerings including used equipment.
- Consult with potential buyers on the best available products and options for the buyer’s needs.
- Present PM and Sany value propositions.
- File proper and on-time sales paperwork by daily and long-term duties. These include but are not limited to: Weekly Activity Reports, sales quotations, signed sales agreements, general competition issues, expense reports, market data, Salesforce data input, etc…
- Stay in close contact, work with the distributors/dealers in the territory, and provide sales support as needed.
- Represent the company at trade shows, exhibits (regional and national when applicable), and seminars including the World of Concrete annually when selected to attend.
- This position is 75% travel in designated territories/regions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience with mobile hydraulic construction equipment, were preferred.
- Proven excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer aptitude and demonstrated computer proficiency in w and presentation software applications.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
- Available for frequent travel.
Education/Certification/Training:
- BS/BA degree, preferred
- Continuing education in training.
- On-the-job training
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and use hands to finger, handle, or touch; frequently required to push and pull.
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, peripheral, and the ability to focus.
Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in a typical office environment; occasionally exposed to noise, dust, and chemicals.
- Safety glasses/goggles must be worn at all times while in designated shop areas.
