POSITION SUMMARY:
Cole Graphic Solutions is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Die Cutter / Finisher to join our dynamic team! In this hands-on role, you’ll operate a range of precision finishing equipment, including the Guillotine Cutter, Laminator, and other specialized machinery, to ensure every project meets our high-quality standards. With a focus on accuracy and craftsmanship, you’ll play a vital role in the final stages of production. As you grow with us, you’ll have the opportunity to expand your skills to operate larger equipment such as CNC and Laser Cutters, furthering your expertise in this exciting field. Cole is focused on leveraging our existing assets to generate above-market returns for the Puyallup Tribe and our strategic partners. We are looking for highly motivated professionals with proven technical, strategic, and analytical skills. This critical role will support our manufacturing division, as we continue to grow and diversify our business.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Excellent attendance for all scheduled shifts
- Set up, operate, and maintain equipment such as clamshell die-cutters, guillotine cutter, laminators, and other finishing equipment
- Troubleshoot any issues both independently as well as part of a team, and facilitate timely and accurate resolution
- Identify opportunities for improvements, identify potential areas of risk, and promptly share critical business information with key stakeholders to maximize results throughout Cole
- Coordinate effective teamwork and use all company resources efficiently to promote superior financial results for Cole; maintain Cole equipment and assets to maximize ROI
- Establish and maintain effective business relationships with all employees, vendors, business partners, government/regulatory entities, and communities in which we operate
- Strictly enforce workplace safety measures; safeguard the welfare of all employees, guests, visitors, and business partners at all times; promptly report workplace risks, incidents, injuries, and near misses; consistently wear and utilize all required PPE
- Maintain confidentiality regarding all sensitive and proprietary business information and safeguard Cole assets at all times
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 18 years or older
- 3 years as a machine operator
- Able to accurately read work orders and technical drawings.
- Ability to understand and use measuring devices such as rulers, tape measures, and micrometers/calipers.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues timely and accurately
- Ability to problem solve, multi-task, and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines
- Self-driven and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- PC and MS Office proficient
- Culturally sensitive and works well with the full diversity of our company and community
- Uncompromising integrity and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to work non-standard hours to accommodate business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to pass background check
Preferred
- Mechanical or General Machine Operator Certification
- 2 years as a Die Cutter or other Finishing/Bindery Operator in a printing facility
- Familiarity with CNC and/or Laser Cutters
