What are the responsibilities and job description for the Game Master position at Puzzle Room Reno?
Our team at Puzzle Room Reno is expanding! We are an escape room location where groups are locked into their reserved room with many puzzles and challenges to overcome. The primary responsibility for Game Masters is to set up and run the five different escape rooms that we have at our downtown Sierra street location.
We want to provide all groups that come to Puzzle Room Reno with top-notch customer service, so we expect Game Masters to be able to keep a positive attitude, build good rapport with teams, and occasionally tap into a themed character for an immersive experience!
Game Masters are also expected to:
- Greet and prep arriving groups with enthusiasm
- Have good attention to detail
- Understand the steps to escape for each room
- Provide tailored hints in game
- Memorize room set-up and lock codes
- Fix broken puzzles/props
- Problem solve when issues arise
- Answer phone calls and assist with customer bookings
- Have basic knowledge of and understanding of computers
- Communicate well with other team members and management
- Be reliable when scheduled for shifts
- Keep a clean environment
Experience:
- Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
Schedule:
- Must be available both Saturday and Sunday
- Alternating day/midday/night shifts
(please note that closing differs everyday depending on booking, latest game we have available is 11pm-12am)
